Trivial decisions

I SO wanted to tell you all about my annoying customers. But yesterday I did not have to work. And on tuesday they all were nice. Mostly.
Except this one lady who wanted to start a discussion about the weaning spoon. If it really is not made out of stiff plastic, but soft silicon. And if that on the other hand is not dangerous. She heard, and read(!) , that babys can bite huge chunks out of things made of silicon. And they might choke on that, you know... Have you EVER had your baby bite huge chunks of anything, besides sweets?? Mine certainly has not. Especially not a spoon. But then again, I do not let him run around all day with a spoon in his mouth.
But that was not what I wanted to write about today. I have made a decision. After hours and hours of thinking, calculating and valuation I have decided:
We will spend our next holiday in Monticello.* (Did I just hear a little "YEAH" from GD??)
My financial director is still a little worried. (This is the right side of my mind) But I told "him" that going snowboarding in the alps would be just as expensive. And it would only be for a week. Not 2 1/2! And staying home is not an option!
So travel plans will look like the following:
Flight out 24th of February. Arriving sometime in the afternoon. Heading back 14th or 15th of March, with a 1 - 2 day break in NYC. Cool?? Jealous? Good!

Oh and BTW. I will be gone for the weekend.

*For those who do not know where this is: MN, USA.

I need a life!

I am a bore. Nothing exciting ever happens in my life. I have no fantastic news to write about.
My life consists of working, cooking, cleaning and sleeping.
At the beginning of this month I was in good hopes. I was truely ready to change my habbits. To work on my writing skills. To do more interesting things, besides the ones already mentioned.
But NO. It is all still the same.
I think I will blame the TV. It robs the last bit of energy I might still have in me at the end of the day. Seriously. I come home, get the boy ready for bed, have dinner and then? Sit in front of the TV and do NOTHING. The next day I can´t even tell what I watched. Clearly you can see: the TV kills my brains.
I wonder. If I lived in the States. I could probably sew the TV companies for killing my brain cells. I could make a fortune. Unfortunately I live in Germany where you can not have these kind of legal fights.
I should move.

All alone

First of all: "Happy new year to you. All the best for 2006."

Did you have a graet new years eve? We (man & me) met with friends, had some wonderful food, champagne at midnight and had fun. Maybe it wasn´t the greatest party but it wasn´t a bore either. For us.

The best though, is the fact that I am all alone right now!! The kid is at grandmas, the man at work. Which meant for me: sleeping long, having a cup of coffee in bed with thoughts just drifting off, nothing to are about. Fantastic! Oh, now please don´t get the imression that I don´t like my little, and big, boy around me. I do, really I do. But once in a while it is very relaxing to just have time on your hands where you don´t have to worry about a thing (like back in those single days). *

When I finally persuaded myself to get out of bed, I got myself another hot cup of coffee and turened on the computer. Since then I´ve been browsing in HDD archives (wondering HOW she actually found all those wonderful blog friends of hers) and noticing that I still have some do´s from 2005. I herewith solemny swear I will do them! Within the next month (or so).

While browsing I found out that I am very liberal! Maybe too liberal... ( If you are bored by now, just leave)

Political profile:
Overall: 15% Conservative / 85% Liberal
Social issues: 50% Conservative / 50% Liberal
Personal responsibility: 0% Conservative / 100% Liberal
Fiscal issues: 0% Conservative / 100% Liberal
Ethics: 0% Conservative / 100% Liberal
Defense & Crime: 25% Conservative / 75% Liberal

WOW, have I been voting for wrong party in the past...

O.K. I don´t want to take up anymore of your precious time. Therefore I will come to an end, and maybe go back to bed for another couple of hours, read, have more coffee and drowse until my two men are back.

Once again: "HAPPY NEW YEAR"

* Which I seriously do NOT want back!
