Guten Rutsch!!

Babes will have a deja-vu when reading the title. And visitors of the babes... Sorry for that. Blame it on my brain deadness I am feeling towards the end of the year.

Do you have your new year resolutions ready?
One of mine is to become a better and more creative blogger. My greatest models: GD & HDD! I love visiting them. I, of course, could blame it on the fact that I am composing in english, which is NOT my native tongue. And since it is more almost 20 (!!) years ago* that I lived there, one might understand. I hope. And thanks if you do.
I belive my mentioned brain deadness is not helping either. Hope it heals soon ;)

Anyway. I wanted to wish everybody "einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr und ein gluecklichen 2006"**

Love to everyone!

* NOW I am feeling old, very, very old
** = have a good slide into the new year and a happy 2006

New Year Plans

I am clueless. Clueless of what to do new years eve.

Hm. Is "new years eve" the correct denotation? Is "new years eve" not the night of January 1st? And if that is so, what do you say to December 31st? "Last night of the year"?

So do you have plans for the last night of the year? I don´t. I am still wondering why I have to do something special. Why can´t I just go to bed early and wake up the next morning without a bad conscience. Why do I pressure myself into this?

Of course I do enjoy the fireworks. And I also wouldn´t mind having a nice fondue...

Merry X-mas to everyone!

I wish everybody a very merry x-mas!

Lately I was busy with the x-mas preperations. Besides having to go to work almost ever day I baked some cookies, wrote the wish list to santa, cleaned the place, baught a x-mas tree (it is german tradition to have a real tree), went grocery shopping etc.

On the night before x-mas eve I decorated the tree (it is also german tradition to not have the tree up before the 24th) and helped my hubby with the dinner preperations for the next evening.

Finally: X-mas eve! It was wonderful. To see the childs glowing eyes when seeing the x-mas tree for the first time. To find a pile of presents, left by Santa, under the tree. And the fun of opening them all!! (Another german tradition, opening presents on x-mas eve) Those are the moments where childhood memories come up and make one feel warm around the heart.
We had a delicious dinner. Duck, red cabbage and caramelized potatoes. For desert: ris alamande (rice with almonds - VERY, VERY good!!).

Afterwards I felt like a stuffed duck! But a very happy stuffed duck!!

I had a dream...

I can´t get it all together, but it made my day a little brighter. That dream about my highschool crush and me...
Is it bad having dreams about somebody else then your hubby??
